New Year - New Hope?

I continue to make research on the arabian performance horses and their pedigree, inheritige and performance capacity. Many interesting facts become visible when lifting on stones...

I have looked into Lydie Lemmens Endurance site and discovered many new angles of incidence!
The Worldchampion Endurance horse NOBBY is out of the dam line Gazella O.A via the mare Taraszcza taken to Russia 1939. He has a high percentage Polish blood. When discovering how many Polish horses that are in the top of the Endurance breeding and performance one feels prompted to go further. That what I will do. For sure!
My next discovery was how the good dam lines produces well with different stallions for Endurance as well as they do in racing. The same pattern is evident.
To take some examples:
Example 1:
The Polish mare Eliza PL (Wist-Elka) with 8 progeny listed in the data pool.
El Hixir****(Nadir L, DE, ****)
Electra****(Dormane ****) the only Dormane progeny with ****
Eliot, DRE****(Djelfor****)
Elipse(Tidjani****)
Makao
Nega****(Nego DE 2*)
Vermouth***(Kalypso DE4*)
Elea de Lafon**(Neral 2*)

Example 2:
Magnolia du Cayrou****by Dia Oua(Diarex SE-Ouarda) -Marie Juane(NavarSU-Marie Claire SE)
Alizee de Marjolaine*(Dorwan du Cayrou**)
Miss Dancer****(Tidjani****) Of Tidjani´s 99 listed progeny this is the only one with 4*.

Miss Eva du Cayrou****(Djelfor****) OfDjelfor´s 97 listed progeny this is the only with 4*

IFAHR

On Facebook I saw that there was a new thread telling how people came to start with the Arabian Racing. That was very interesting. Just starting by co-incidence with no knowledge what so ever. I think that is very common.

My own story starts long ago. I was born 1946 and that meens that I today have 50 years of saved knowledge.

I was reading pedigree and breeding from my early teens. I had an eager to learn. Everything that was available I searched for and read. My father had some coldblooded trotting horses and I was helping him with the training. A very close friend from the early time started co-operating with a TB trainer at Täby and took in his convalescents and made great progres with them.

After my car accident I found the remarkable arabian mare Penelope with the best pedigree I have ever seen for performance and with a movement pattern that was eye-catching!

I started my arabian racing "carrier" after 35 years of studies of pedigrees and breeding and worked from that knowledge. I did succeed indeed! My stallion was Swedish Arabian Race Champion 2001. He still has 5 track Records. Unfortunately he had his nose broken in the stall before a race at Gothenbourg race track. That was the reason why he did not compete in Europe. He was treated for this while the rest of the Swedish horses were competing abroad. He met a French horse and Portmer and was placed 3rd after those. The truth is, he had been off training for more than a month (after his nose bleeding went open again) and had just been trained twice before the race.

There was some details I did not count into my life though: The fear for the unknown and the envy.

I admit I am not the most beautiful woman in the world but who can be that after losing half of the face in an accident? I thought it was the result that was the important part and not my looks and lack of ambition to stand in the limelight to make myself visible and. My goal was to preserve the very best in arabian racing material that was to be found in the world and the result of the breeding was also one of the best horses ever born in Sweden.

In the candle light / I stearinljusets sken...

It has been difficult to keep an unbroken stream of words here..... Mostly it has to do with inspiration and zest for life. I have found som interesting people on Facebook. People that are survivers as well and suffer from equal happenings as I do. I have also after long time searching found a forum for people that have been "close to death". It will be very interesting to discuss that and hopefully get to know people with the same experiences and insights that I have. I look forward to find people that have another valuation of life and living. People that are lacking the greedy poisoning character!

Babolna Endurance YR World Championship

The Swedish Young Rider Team, including Annelie Eriksson left Sweden on Saturday night and arrived in Babolna on Monday. As far as I know, they are all in good shape.
The horse with start No 1, WN Pyna is a Brazilian born horse competing for Argentina and she is a Pepi daughter! Pepi has really made his "hoof-prints" on the worldwide, worldsclass endurance scene!

Penelope´s 2nd son was out racing again today, winning his 3rd race! Penelope´s 2 sons are both winners and that is 100%. None of her daughters has been tested for racing, but it seems it´s following the dam line.

Pepi

Last week I had the information that Pepi had been put down last year, at the age of 33. His mother Pemba reached the same high age too.
